I am always on the lookout for products that help my kids with spelling.  Even if your kids are natural spellers, there are words that will stump them sometimes.  If you don't have natural spellers in your home, you know how frustrated they can get trying to correct papers.

The solution?  Look up the words in the dictionary.  It's what I was told when I was in school.  I have tried to tell that to my kids as well.  I have heard so many times when I tell them to look up a word in the dictionary, "If I don't know how to spell it, how can I find it in the dictionary?"  To tell you the truth I had no good answer for that.  I think I probably gave the same answer that my teachers did.  Just look till you find it.  Start with how you think it's spelled and go from there.

Dictionary skills are important, don't get me wrong.  But using the dictionary the way I described above has done nothing but caused frustration for all of us.
