Our Pantry Door

A while ago I painted the inside and outside of our pantry door with chalkboard paint. It was a spur of the moment decision and usually I regret those after about 10 minutes! I'm thinking about a certain green paint I found, bought, and used in our bedroom years ago. When Steven saw it he said it looked like someone threw up on the wall. Yeah, not a good impulsive decision maker here.

But, this time I have not regretted it one bit. I have loved it so much. So has the rest of the family.

We use the inside of the door for our menus for the upcoming two week pay period and the outside we use for notes to each other, medicine schedules, phone numbers, etc. It is super handy and oh so fun.

Pretty cool, huh? Well, we love it anyway!

I have tried to plan out the next week and a half with a menu...we'll see how it goes!


Sunday-Cheesy, Creamy, Ham and Potato Soup
Monday-Creamy Fettucini Alfredo
Tuesday-Meatloaf

Thursday-Grilled Italian Chicken
Friday-Meat Pizza
Saturday-Eat Out
Sunday-Broccoli Cheese Soup
Monday-Crockpot Cheeseburger Sandwiches

My Menu

Okay, Kristine over at Jewels of My Own posts her menus and it is finally just too much for me to handle. The pressure is overwhelming. So, here is my menu.

It is late as we started this menu on the 6th; but at least I am doing it, right?

Monday-- Chicken Quesadillas
Tuesday-- Hoagies
Wednesday-- Beef Calzones
Thursday --Leftovers *my favorite night!
Friday-- Co-op Night taking treats-sandwiches on homemade bread at home
Saturday-- Eat Out **my real favorite night :)
Sunday-- Cheesy Potato Soup
Monday-- Grilled Chicken
Tuesday--Chipotle Burritos
Wednesday--Leftovers
Thursday--Chicken Tetrazini

I don't have any backups other that Pizza Hut or McDonalds and I don't schedule Lunches or snacks. For breakfast, they can have pancakes, waffles, french toast, or whatever else they want to fix. :) (I make big batches of the hot stuff and they heat them up as they need them.)

Now, I must tell you that I feel immense pressure to stay with this menu. It is silly, I know.

BUT, we are out of budget and this is the food we have in the house. So, we will try and stick to the menu. :0)
