A New Bike

We have always bought our girls their first 'big-girl' bike when they were four years old. It didn't make much sense when three of the four birthdays are in the winter, but that's what we did. This year for our youngest, however, we waited.

We bought the bike last week and she was able to get on it right away and ride, ride, ride. There was no fear of stickers puncturing the tires or falling into a patch of stickers! It was bliss for all of us. :)

As she was riding on the driveway, she kept repeating, "I am not allowed to go on the street. Oh NO, I am not. But, when I am FIVE I can go on the street because I will be big with my sisters." It was so sweet that I didn't have the heart to tell her that in fact, she will NOT be going 'on the street' when she turns five. We can cross that bridge next February!

She was riding and posing and she shouted, "Yippee Ki Yi Ya, Mamacita!" Seriously. That's what she calls me now, Mamacita. I'm not sure where she picked it up, but it makes me laugh every time. :-D

FUN! Our youngest just got a new bike as well. We're hoping he'll be able to get rid of the training wheels this summer.
