The older girls were running around the different pools and enjoying a little more freedom than they get at home. They were in pool heaven! lol The lazy river, the indoor pool, the water slide, you name it and they were doing it. We got to hang out with family and play and relax. It was great.
We went shopping and found a hat for Bug, some books for all of us-yeah, we can't go anywhere w/o buying books-and lunch in the coldest restaraunt in the history of man. We went in to order pizza and ended up with colds. Okay, not really but that's how cold it was. Several of the children were blue by the time we left! The four oldest kids devoured a large pizza while Steven, Bug, and I ate a meat lovers. It was so yummy! Bug ate almost half a piece by herself and flirted with the waitress. H and N were snuggling their older sister trying to share body heat while sucking down soda...go figure!
A trip to the pet store and some clothing stores rounded up that shopping trip. Naps were in order after that. The kids got great naps but the grown-ups, you know the ones that really wanted naps, were interrupted constantly. We gave up and went swimming instead! More cousins were at the pool than not and fun was had by all. We did run into someone that recognized Steven as being a singer from our hometown. bwahaha
Supper was a great dish I stole from my friend Donna. It was so yummy!! Sleep was soon to follow and quiet kids that were lulled to sleep by the sound of a t.v. ;-)
