Today I am going to join yet another meme. Yes, I know I am living dangerously. But, I'm going to do it. I'm jumping in.
I will probably not last long-I tend to forget. But I'm gonna try.
Today I am thankful for my kids. I was sitting on the couch after breakfast talking to the kids about their schoolwork for the day when something truly disgusting happened. This will be way TMI so if you have a squeamish stomach, don't read this next part. Skip down to the *** and ignore what I'm about to say.
So, I was sitting there in a care-free sort of way when out of nowhere I threw up in my mouth. I had my laptop, my awesome new planner, and my bag of pins on my lap so I couldn't rush to the bathroom. The girls were watching me and I panicked. What did I do, you ask? I did the only thing I could do. I swallowed it. Yup, you read that right. I think I may be sick just thinking about it.
***You can start reading here if you skipped the gross section above.
I sat on the couch trying to pretend that all was well but I was seriously disgusted and freaking out a little. Sunshine got me an animal cracker to get the "taste" out of my mouth but it didn't work. I mad it only 15 more minutes then had to go to bed. I had succumbed to the stomach flu that was making its way around our homeschool group. bleh
Anyway...on to my thankful post. My kids took over and let me stay in bed all day. They did their school work, took care of Bug, and kept quiet enough I could sleep.
They are awesome kids. I love them tons. :-)
I am also thankful that we as a family love to be together. We really do enjoy being together and that thrills me to no end. I love that my kids love to be with their family. I love that they don't mind that their friends know they love being with their family. Shoot, I love that they invite their friends to spend time with us!
There is so much to be thankful for; big or little, they are all gifts from God.
What are you thankful for this Thursday?
